Privacy policy
What we collect when you use our website and Swarm Agentic, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated
Swarm Agentic (“we”, “us”) is operated by Made for Web (ABN 35 279 723 822) in Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers our website, swarmagentic.dev, and your Swarm Agentic account. It doesn’t cover the AI services you connect to Swarm, which have their own privacy policies.
The short version
- Your projects, conversations and docs stay on your own computer. We never see them.
- We use cookie-free analytics to count visits to our website.
- If you contact us or join a waiting list, we keep what you send us so we can reply.
- Stripe handles payments. We never see or store your full card number.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
What we collect
When you visit our website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across other websites. It records things like the page you visited, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and your approximate country. We see this only as totals, not as information about you personally.
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message.
When you join a waiting list
If you ask to hear when Swarm is available for Mac or Linux, we collect your email address and which platform you’re interested in.
When you create an account
We collect your email address and the details of your subscription, such as your plan, trial dates and payment status.
When you pay
Payments are processed by Stripe. You give your card details to Stripe, not to us. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and shares limited details, such as your billing country and the last four digits of your card, so we can show your billing history.
When you use the app
Swarm Agentic runs on your computer. Your projects, conversations, docs, workflows and files are stored on your own disk. Your messages to AI agents go directly from your computer to the AI provider you’ve chosen, not through our servers.
If you leave anonymous usage statistics switched on, the app sends counts of which features are used, with a random identifier. These never include your content, and you can switch them off at any time in the app.
How we use your information
We use it to:
- provide your account and subscription, including your free trial
- reply to messages and support requests
- tell you when Swarm is available for your platform, if you asked us to
- understand how our website and app are used so we can improve them
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We’ll only email you about things you’ve asked for or that relate to your account. We don’t send marketing to people who haven’t asked for it.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run Swarm:
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website, provides our website analytics, stores contact form messages and waiting-list sign-ups, and delivers the emails we receive from those forms.
- Stripe, which processes payments and manages subscriptions.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We don’t sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Information stored outside Australia
Cloudflare and Stripe operate worldwide, so your information may be stored or processed in other countries, including the United States. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and up to two years afterwards in case you get in touch again.
- Waiting-list emails: until we’ve told you the version you asked about is available, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Account and billing records: while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as Australian tax law requires.
Keeping it secure
Our website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored with Cloudflare and payment details stay with Stripe. Only the people who need it to run Swarm can see your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct information that’s wrong
- delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law
To make a request, contact us. We’ll respond within 30 days.
You can use our website without giving us any personal information. You can also use our website anonymously or under a pseudonym when you contact us, although we’ll need a way to reply.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal information, contact us first and we’ll try to put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let account holders know by email.
